Macedon Ranges
The Macedon ranges were made famous in the Australian movie “Picnic at Hanging Rock”. Today visitors flock here to climb this honeycombed monolith and attend the annual races held at its base.
Location and drive-time
Located 60 kilometres north east of Melbourne, the Macedon ranges are a 90-minute drive away by Rolls Royce, or another car from our luxury range.
Wine styles
The Macedon ranges region is a relatively new winemaking area for Victoria, established in the early 1970s. It is already producing award-winning wines and offers elegant sparkling whites, whites, Pinots and Shiraz.
Landscape and climate
The magnificent European style gardens on Mount Macedon present a stunning autumn display and provide a lush cool retreat in the heat of summer.
Granitic sands predominate on the slopes of the ranges, with deep loams
in the valleys. Macedon's cool climate is influenced by its distance from
the sea and its elevation.
